World Cup Denmark Point Race - DNS

I did not start the points race today because I am sick as a dog. I think I probably caught the virus before the flight since my daughter was sick. And despite popping airborne pills like candy, my body finally gave in. I am filled with all these mixed emotions - sadness, anger, dissapointment, frustration. It is very difficult to remain positive, but I'm trying to be optimistic and hope that miraculously I will be better for tomorrow's scratch race.

Steve - hang in there man! Getting sick is such a cruel part of this sport. You train and work so hard, get your body tuned to perfection and it's also at its most vulnerable.

Hopefully you'll feel better and rock the scratch.

Think of it as more "taper." :-)

Steve, this is likely your last WC, so even though you don't get to ride at your best, take it all in for what you can. You're representing your country and rubbing elbows with riders who will win at the Olympics...
